Great Egret, fishing in the St. Augustine Wild Reserve pond. Great
Egrets are the largest egret in America, and are in danger because
developers are draining their wet habitats. This egret is a breeding
bird, proven by its long, lacy white plumes extending from its back. The
Great Egret wades through the shallow waters of our pond, stalking fish,
frogs, water snakes and insects
HOLIDAY
TREATS

As a form of enrichment entertainment, Shekhina, Mufasa and Genesis are
given pumpkins to celebrate Halloween.

Happy
Holidays to everyone,
from Santiago the Christmas Cavy,
and the St. Augustine Wild Reserve!
